®ACWA & Youth Scholarship
About the ACWA Scholarship
It is the mission of the American Chuck Wagon Association Scholarship Fund to provide financial assistance to those showing interest and promise in continuing their education in a collegiate or trade program. ACWA scholarships are awarded on an annual basis. Half the awarded amount will be applied the first semester and the other half the second contingent upon satisfactory progress. Funds are sent directly to the educational institution for each semester or quarter. The ACWA is proud to be able to offer assistance to deserving young people dedicated to furthering their education. The first college scholarship was awarded for the 2008/2009 school year. Scholarships are funded by donations to the youth auction at the ACWA annual meeting, honorariums, memorials and other donations. If you are interested in helping with this effort, donations can be sent to:

2022-2022 ACWA Scholarship Recipients
The 2022-2023 American Chuck Wagon Association (ACWA) scholarship winners are: Reatta Conway from Goodwell, Oklahoma and Cloe Swanson from Canton, South Dakota
Reatta Conway, daughter of Dan Conway and ReLeana
Conway, granddaughter of John and Becky Conway. Graduate
from Goodwell Public School in Goodwell Oklahoma and will
attend Panhandle State University in the fall majoring in
business and art.
"I would like to thank the American Chuck Wagon Association
for providing scholarships to high school students and the
work they do in preserving such a rich part of our country's
history. It is my hope to continue bringing smiles to countless
people through sharing the heritage behind one of the most
iconic images of the American frontier, the chuck wagon."
Cloe Swanson is the daughter of Steve and
Cassandra Swanson. She lives in Canton,
South Dakota and as her mom puts it, "She
has been around chuck wagon events all of
her life!"
Starting in August, Cloe plans on
attending Lake Area Tech in Watertown,
South Dakota for a two-year degree
program to further her welding skills. Her
goals for the future are to travel some and
still work with historical programs.
